從小老師也加倍認真
來教導我步過紅綠燈
右與左必須清楚看真

I am sure most people in HK would have heard of this song! I quite like the lyrics of this song - isn't that just our own experience?
How often do we wait until the light change before we cross the road? And how often do we wait for the green light from God before we make our decisions in our lives?
A few weeks ago I had a chat with a Mum. She told me that she always reminds herself not to cross the road at "reds", even if there are no cars coming and it seems perfectly safe - because she wants to keep that as a habit and make sure she won't do that and set a bad example in front of her children!
Not to become a habit - what a meaningful reminder!
Over the last 13 years, I just so got used to "follow my own way" when I think it is "safe" to make those decisions..... and I ended up achieving goals in my life with my own hands. The truth is I could hardly see half of the potential problems in my life and ended up in troubles one after the other....
Sometimes it is very difficult to stop and wait - when it seems to be exactly what we need at that moment, and we cannot see any other possible way out!
There was an example in the bible:
神 又 對 亞 伯 拉 罕 說 、 你 的 妻 子 撒 萊 、 不 可 再 叫 撒 萊 、 他 的 名 要 叫 撒 拉 。
我 必 賜 福 給 他 、 也 要 使 你 從 他 得 一 個 兒 子 、 我 要 賜 福 給 他 、 他 也 要 作 多 國 之 母 、 必 有 百 姓 的 君 王 從 他 而 出 。
亞 伯 拉 罕 就 俯 伏 在 地 喜 笑 、 心 裡 說 、 一 百 歲 的 人 、 還 能 得 孩 子 麼 ． 撒 拉 已 經 九 十 歲 了 、 還 能 生 養 麼 。
亞 伯 拉 罕 對 神 說 、 但 願 以 實 瑪 利 活 在 你 面 前 。
神 說 、 不 然 、 你 妻 子 撒 拉 要 給 你 生 一 個 兒 子 、 你 要 給 他 起 名 叫 以 撒 、 我 要 與 他 堅 定 所 立 的 約 、 作 他 後 裔 永 遠 的 約 。
Of course, we all know the results:
耶 和 華 按 著 先 前 的 話 、 眷 顧 撒 拉 、 便 照 他 所 說 的 給 撒 拉 成 就 。 當 亞 伯 拉 罕 年 老 的 時 候 、 撒 拉 懷 了 孕 ． 到 神 所 說 的 日 期 、 就 給 亞 伯 拉 罕 生 了 一 個 兒 子 。 亞 伯 拉 罕 給 撒 拉 所 生 的 兒 子 起 名 叫 以 撒 。
Let us also have faith in God - especially when we are in the difficult time waiting!!!!!!!
